Fatherhood offers amazing experiences, few better than sharing adventures with children. The Adventure Park at Storrs is offering a unique opportunity to celebrate this bond on Father’s Day, when Dads Climb Free.
By purchasing one three-hour ticket, guests can secure a complimentary ticket for dads, inviting families to experience the thrill of climbing and ziplining together.
Jesse Pasacreta, the park manager, highlighted the value of such experiences in strengthening family connections. “What a fantastic way for dads to spend time with their families,” Pasacreta remarked. “Sharing an adventure is an amazing way to bond with your kids of all ages.”
To take advantage of this special offer, visitors can either book online by selecting the “Father’s Day BOGO” ticket option or call the park directly. The promotion is exclusively available on June 16, from 10 am to 6 pm, and cannot be combined with other offers. While refunds are not available, tickets can be exchanged for park account credits.
In addition to this Father’s Day event, the Adventure Park at Storrs has announced its summer schedule, starting June 12 and running through August 25. Open from Wednesday to Sunday, the park provides a range of activities designed for different age groups and skill levels.
The park features nine trails with a variety of aerial challenges, including bridges, tightropes, ladders, and 28 ziplines. Participants, equipped with harnesses and safety clips, navigate the trails with continuous protection until they reach the end.
The main trails cater to ages 7 and up, while younger adventurers (ages 3-6) can enjoy the Adventure Playground, which offers a lower-to-the-ground experience. Additionally, the park boasts three lanes of outdoor axe throwing, the only venue of its kind in the area.
For those not climbing, the park offers free admission to enjoy nature trails, picnic areas, and a community firepit. Conveniently located near the University of Connecticut campus at 2007 Storrs Road, the park welcomes walk-ins based on availability but encourages advance bookings either online or by phone.
